Guided Assembly

AI-Assemble

Every step verified. Zero missed operations.

A vision-guided assembly station that walks operators through pick → place → fasten → verify, and uses AI to confirm each step is correct before the next is allowed. Built for variant-heavy lines where one missed clip becomes a field failure.

Overview

Built for your production environment

AI-Assemble replaces paper SOPs and beep-only poka-yoke with live, vision-verified work instructions. Each station knows the current recipe (from MES or barcode scan), shows the operator exactly where to pick from and place to, and uses an overhead camera + AI to confirm the right part went into the right position in the right orientation. Wrong part? Skipped step? The station holds the line until it's resolved - and writes a full traceable record for every unit.

Capabilities

What AI-Assemble does on your line

Digital work instructions

Step-by-step visuals, animations and torque values rendered on the station HMI - no more laminated SOPs.

Pick-by-light verification

Vision confirms the operator picked from the correct bin and didn't substitute the wrong variant.

Place verification

Each placement is checked for presence, position and orientation before the next step unlocks.

Operator skill-aware

Recipes adapt to operator skill level - verbose mode for trainees, lean mode for senior operators.

Cycle-time analytics

Per-step timing rolls up into bottleneck heatmaps, so industrial engineers can see exactly where time leaks.

MES & ANDON sync

Pass/fail and serial-level genealogy stream to MES; ANDON towers light up automatically on station hold.

See it in action

Guided assembly - every step verified in real time

A short, anonymized capture from a deployed station: operator hands move through the sequence while AI confirms each pick and placement against the active recipe.

Live capture
How it works

Four simple steps, every single part

  1. Step 01

    Recipe loaded

Operator scans the build sheet or VIN. The station loads the correct recipe and BoM from MES.

  2. Step 02

    Guided pick & place

Each step is shown on the HMI; pick-to-light highlights the right bin.

  3. Step 03

    Vision verify

Overhead camera + AI verifies presence, position and orientation. Wrong = step locked until corrected.

  4. Step 04

    Sign-off & trace

Station signs the unit OK, prints/etches a label, and writes a full step-level record to MES.

Where it's deployed

Built for real production lines

Manual static assembly station with stacked tiered part bins

Manual static station

Tiered kitting bins stacked above the workbench, with overhead vision verifying every pick and place against the active recipe.

Electronics assembly

Electronics box-build

PCB seating, cable dressing, mechanical fastening, label & serial verification.

Heavy machinery assembly

Heavy machinery kits

High-mix assembly of gear boxes, valves and hydraulic units with full traceability.

Mixed-model line

Variant-heavy lines

Mixed-model lines where SKUs change every hour - recipes switch automatically per VIN.

Operator training station

Operator training

New operators ramp 3× faster with verbose-mode SOPs and AI-checked steps.

Critical-to-quality assembly: airbag pin insertion with torque tool and overhead vision

Critical-to-quality stations

Airbag pin insertion, brake-line routing, sealant beads - high-consequence steps with zero-defect targets.

Integrations

Plays nicely with your stack

AI-Assemble ships with connectors for the most common shop-floor and IT systems, so production data flows where you already track it.

Every Advitiix product runs fully on-prem. No production data leaves the plant unless you explicitly opt in to cloud dashboards.

FAQ

Questions we hear from plant heads

Can we retrofit existing stations?

Yes - most installs are retrofits. We mount cameras and the HMI onto your existing workbench and integrate with your PLC.

What about variant changes during a shift?

Recipes hot-swap on barcode / VIN scan, typically in under a second. No station restart needed.

Does it support torque tool integration?

Yes - Atlas Copco, Bosch, Desoutter and most network-enabled tools are supported out of the box.

How is operator data handled?

We capture operator ID and step timing for traceability. No face data or biometrics; full compliance with plant IT policies.
